1973 GARRARD SYNCHROLAB 95B RESTORATION. Idler wheel driven, fully automatic turntable. Made in England. Picked up at Habitat for Humanity Re-Store for $15. Fun restoration project.

Bottom view of mechanism. Most of the mechanisms from this era are stuck due to the grease turning to glue. Carefully taken apart, cleaned, lubricated. Lots of info online.

Tone arm auto return lever fixed by bending wire to replace missing plastic tip that rubs against plastic cam lever.

Buffing out deep scratches. 400 grit, 600, 1000, 1500 wet sanded.

Final buffing with a cheap Harbor Freight buffer and Meguiars PlastX compound.
