1953 MODEL "A" SOUTH BEND LATHE REFINISHING. I'm a beginner thats fascinated with old machines and the men and women that ran them.

Original motor with power twist v-belt. Would like to upgrade with D.C. variable speed motor and a quick change tool holder with carbide inserts.

Lathe was lightly rusted and many parts covered in mouse urine. Entire lathe stripped of paint and steel parts wirebrushed polished and oiled.
